We start out when we're young, playing for fun
We'll play at night with the lights, you know we'll play in the sun
We love this game, so who do we blame
I'll start today with the ones that currently play
KD's from around here, that's why we cheer
But there are more who can score, Ty, Beas, solid to the core
We love this game. They are some of the current ones to blame
Over the last 20 years, The Wizards, Gtown, Maryland, homeboys brought us cheers
Summer leagues so many games, you can get fatigue, so much intrigue
We love this game, but who do we blame
The 70s, Playing in parks, well after dark, by yourself, put down marks
Thicket, Luzon, Candy Cane, a few, roll through town, that's what you do
We love this game, these are some of the places to blame
I know whose fault, EB Henderson went to the Y, they said "halt"
Found some boys in school who thought it was cool, a game they could rule
We love this game, fresh from Naismith, EB can take the blame
Used to be in town, now spread around, bring whack game, get clowned
In the future, it'll be the same, many can lay claim, different names, a lot of fame
DC's a Redskin town, but we LOVE this game, I guess there are plenty to blame.
